No. The Starter plan is completely free — just sign in with Google and you're in. No payment info required, no renewal fee.
You get full access to your plan's features immediately. After 12 months, you can optionally renew for continued updates and support ($29/yr for Commissioner, $49/yr for Pro). The app keeps working either way.
Yes. You can upgrade from Starter to Commissioner or Pro at any time. Just purchase the higher tier — your existing league data carries over. Contact us if you need a partial credit.
Starter supports up to 20 players per league. Commissioner supports up to 50. Pro is unlimited. Most casual leagues run 12–24 players, making Commissioner the right fit for the majority of commissioners.
No. The PLYR license is paid by the commissioner. Your players download the app and join for free — they never see a paywall or subscription prompt.
Yes. The PLYR iOS app is available on the App Store — commissioners and players both use it. All plan upgrades happen here on the web via Stripe, not through the App Store, so you're never charged Apple's fees.

The free first event covers registration, tee sheet, live leaderboard, and basic payout for up to 72 players — one full shotgun field. The $49 per-event tier removes the player cap and unlocks flights/divisions, GHIN handicap verification, sponsor integration, TV broadcast mode, and multi-day scoring.
Yes. Listing your course so commissioners can find and book you for their league outings remains completely free — no subscription, no per-booking fee. Tournament hosting (running your own events with open registration and live leaderboards) is the paid product above.
